Our Learning Standards:
Math- We will continue to learn about place value. Students will practice showing a number in standard, expanded, base ten block, and written form. Students will also practice skip counting by 2, 5, 10, and 100.
Reading/ELA- We will focus on questioning while we read and retelling stories using beginning, middle, and end organizers.
In reading groups we will review making connections with schema, describing character traits, and identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
We will also practice identifying and using long and short vowel sounds.
Writing- We will continue writing small moment stories. This week we will focus on zooming into the details of our small moment stories.
Social Studies/Science- We will introduce three states of matter (solid, liquid, gas), and we will explore how matter can change.
