We had a great first week back after fall break!
Here is what we are learning the week of October 9th:
Math: We will review money word problems (pennies, nickels, and dimes), and begin our second exploration of place value within 1000.
Reading/Language Arts: We will begin our study of author's purpose. Students will practice identifying and explaining why an author is writing a certain text or story.
Writing: We will focus on improving our small moment stories by revisiting our narrative rubric and looking at our previous work samples.
Social Studies: We will continue to look at why we need rules and laws, and we will identify elected officials at local, state, and national levels.
Science - We will begin our unit on energy.
