Math: We will focus on adding multiple two digit numbers. Students will practice adding together three numbers and four numbers.
For example,
Zeke has 13 green Skittles, 24 red Skittles, and 36 purple Skittles. How many Skittles does Zeke have altogether?
We will focus on Homophones. Homophones sound the same, but they are spelled differently and they have different meanings.

Writing: Opinion Writing
Students will publish their persuasive letters to the person of their choice. We will focus on strong introductions, body paragraphs with multiple reasons and examples, and strong conclusions.
Students will also begin to put together their Author's Tea Folders.
Science: We will focus on keeping our teeth healthy as we learn about dental hygiene.
STEM - Shadow Sticks
We will review how the Sun compares to other stars, and we will learn about how shadows form and change during the day.
Social Studies: We continue to learn about the government and the need for rules and laws. We will review different levels (local, state, national) and different leaders (mayor, governor, president). Students will also be asked to locate the national and state capitals (Washington D.C. and Atlanta)
