Our Learning Focus for the Week of April 24th
Math: This week we will explore even and odd numbers and how even numbered groups can be arranged in arrays. We will work with arrays that have up to five rows and five columns.

Reading/Language Arts: We will begin to read Charlotte's Web. We will be applying various reading comprehension strategies as we read.
Phonics - Unit 23 R Controlled Syllables -er -or
painter, writer, farmer, actor, visitor, swimmer, runner
Writing: Narrative Writing
Students will focus on bringing one personal narrative (of their choice) through the stages of the writing process.
Science: We will focus on the life cycle of butterflies. Students will review plant life cycles and the life cycle of a frog.
STEM - We will water and observe our bean plants. Students who see no growth will have the opportunity to replant. We will observe root systems and plant growth over the next few weeks. Students will be documenting their observations in a plant journal, and these observations will be used as research for the next STEM activity.

Registration Forms - Please look over the form, correct, complete, and sign the back. Return the form, envelope, and 4 stamps as soon as possible.
