Our Learning Focus
Math: We will continue measuring in inches, feet, and yards. This week we will also explore measuring with centimeters and meters. Students will focus on solving word problems that involve measurement.

Reading/Language Arts: We will review non-fiction texts, contractions, possessive nouns, and rhyme, rhythm, and alliteration in poetry.
Phonics - Unit 14 Variant Vowel /oo/

Writing: Students will finalize their second informational piece and its corresponding illustration. Students will also work on "How To" informational pieces, like "How to Build a Snowman."
Social Studies: We will continue to explore allocation of goods and services. (Goods and services are allocated (or given out) by price, barter/trade, majority rule, contests, force, sharing, lottery, command, first-come first-served, personal characteristics and other methods.)
