We will be starting and or reviewing the following standards.
Math: Two-step problem solving within 100
Reading/Language Arts: We spent last week studying an awesome author, Tomie dePaola. We looked for patterns and similarities in dePaola's writing style, and learned about who he was as an author. This week we will begin another Author's Study on Patricia Polacco.
We will also be learning about compound sentences and our phonics list will focus on ou, ow diphthongs.
Writing: Students will complete their Spring Break personal narratives.
Science: We’ve learned about the life cycles of plants and frogs so far. This week we’ll start talking about the butterfly life cycle. We will have caterpillars in our room and will be able to observe the life cycle first-hand!
STEM: We will be planting the pea plants that we have been growing in the school from seeds.
*Our ILC/checkout day is Wednesday. Please remind your child to return their books!
*Keep filling out your 200 book club log. The last day to turn in logs is April 29th! No late logs will be accepted!
