We will be starting and or reviewing the following standards.
Math: We will be continuing with arrays and using these arrays to introduce multiplication.
• Understand and model multiplication as repeated addition and as rectangular arrays.
MGSE2.OA.4.Use addition to find the total number of objects arranged in rectangular arrays with up to 5 rows and up to 5 columns; write an equation to express the total as a sum of equal addends.
Reading/Language Arts: This week we will continue our novel study on Charlotte's Web. We will also be learning dictionary skills and our phonics pattern.
Phonics (thr, shr, and squ)
Writing: Students will finish revising, editing, publishing, typing, and illustrating their biographies and personal narratives. They will also write a letter to their third grade teacher.
Science: This week we will be exploring the life cycles of birds and mammals.
STEM: This week we will be observing our plants, watering and caring for them. We will be continuing our work in the gardens this week.
Social Studies: We will continue learning about goods and services.
