Math - Our new focus will be on addition strategies using base ten blocks within 100.
We will be revisiting place value and extending to 1000. We will focus on comparing numbers.

Writing - Letters
This week we will write letters as part of "The Big Thank You!"
Social Studies - SS2H1 The student will read about and describe the lives of historical figures in Georgia history. a. Identify the contributions made by these historic figures: Tomochichi and James Oglethorpe
Science - S2P1. Students will investigate the properties of matter and changes that occur in objects.
b. Investigate changes in objects by tearing, dissolving, melting, squeezing, etc.
STEM - Stuck Like Glue Week - Wrap Up
Students have created glue that was able to hold up to 110 beans! This week they will examine their results, brainstorm how to improve, and rate themselves using the 4Cs rubrics.
Reading - ELAGSE2RL6: Acknowledge differences in the points of view of characters, including by speaking in a different voice for each character when reading dialogue aloud.
This week students will compare different points of view and different character voices.
ELAGSE2L2: Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.
We will focus on commas in letters and adjectives.
