Welcome to 2nd Grade with Mrs. Teuchert!
My name is Carla Teuchert, and I am so excited to begin an exceptional year of learning in second grade! This year I would like to work together with you and your student, and I believe that through this partnership we can help everyone succeed! I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself to you. To begin with, I am the youngest of three sisters. I previously taught in Henry County at McDonough Elementary. When McDonough Elementary was re-purposed to become an alternative school this summer, I jumped at the opportunity to live and work in Cobb County. Not only is Tritt an amazing school, but also my two sisters live nearby. I am excited to be a part of the Tritt family and to be closer to my immediate family as well! In addition to being close to my sisters, my husband and I have a precious dog named Kingsley. I am a strong University of Georgia supporter, and I attended this university for my undergraduate and graduate studies. I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching – Early Childhood Education at the University of Georgia in December of 2011. I love to learn, and I love to teach! I believe that students should have lots of choice in terms of how and what we learn. In our class we will find ways to not only learn the state standards, but also to use student interest to drive our inquiry. I am so excited to integrate STEM and the engineering design process into our learning, and I know that the students will love it! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email, call, or send a note with your child. Thank you in advance for all that you do to ensure that your child is at school ready to learn! Our youth are the future, and I think through education we can equip them to make that future great!
See you soon!
