Learning Objectives
Math: We will focus on solving one step word problems within 100 and two step word problems within 20.
Reading/Language Arts: We will continue to focus on non fiction texts. Students will practice making connections between events, scientific ideas, or steps within procedures.
We will also review reflexive pronouns. (myself, ourselves, etc.)
Writing: We will continue our informational writing unit with the creation of our first informational books. Students are working to create a book that includes a table of contents, multiple chapters, and informational pictures and sentences.
Science - We will review environmental changes such as erosion, flooding, and drought. We will also examine how living things can change the environment.
STEM - We will continue to review forces with the Toy Invention STEM Challenge. This week students will evaluate the safety of their toy, and they will share their creation with the class.
Social Studies - We will learn about the Creek and Cherokee cultures, and we will compare life today with life long ago. We will also introduce James Oglethorpe.

- Our Thanksgiving Food Drive ends on Monday November 13th.
- Tritt is participating in the Six Flags Read to Succeed program for the 2017-2018 school year. Students can earn one free ticket to Six Flags for 360 minutes of recreational reading between now and February 15, 2018.
