This Week’s Learning Standards:
Math- We will focus on two step word problems within 20.
Reading/ELA- We will continue to focus on non-fiction texts. We will focus on how to read and understand informational texts (historical events, scientific ideas, and steps in a process.)
Phonics - We will begin to explore vowel variant diagraphs and diphthongs (au,aw, ou/ow, oo/ew, oi/oy).
Writing- We will begin our informational writing unit. We will also review common and proper nouns.
Science - We continue our unit on force (pushes and pulls). Students will be asked to design a device that can make an object move, slow down, or stop.
STEAM- Seasonal Tree Challenge / Push+Pull Device
