We will write personal narratives. We will complete our first personal narrative about "A Special Place" and start a new personal narrative about "A Special Day."
Social Studies - SS2H2 and SS2H1 We will be starting to learn about the Cherokee and Creek Native Americans. We will also preview Sequoyah.

STEM - 3-D Model of Georgia STEM Creation
SS2G1 (Review)
The student will locate major topographical features of Georgia and will describe how these features define Georgia’s surface. a.Locate all the geographic regions of Georgia: Blue Ridge Mountains, Piedmont, Coastal Plain, Valley and Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau.

ELAGSE2RL2: Recount stories, including fables and folktales from diverse cultures, and determine their central message, lesson, or moral.

We will review questioning while we read, retelling the beginning, middle, and end of fictional stories, and discussing the problem/solution and moral/lesson in applicable stories. We will begin identifying the main idea in fictional stories.
Students will also practice identifying complete sentences and proper use of punctuation and capitalization in what they have read. They will also write about what they have read.
